Provide novel satellite components for 5G Advanced NTN
This objective focuses on a paradigm change in the scope of NMS controllers to evolve them for upcoming pre-6G networks. TRANTOR evolved NMS (eNMS) will be delivered with radically new features that are not available in current NMS, nor their roadmaps. These novel features focus very short time-to-react design of radio controllers to support a large number of connectivity and configuration changes requests. A modular eNMS controller core will be designed to support upcoming requirements in pre-6G networks. Its functionality will be integrated in the 3GPP management system. In addition, a modular infrastructure manager (IME) enabling a unified management across multiple satellite systems (e.g., GEO and LEO) will be developed.
